Experience: Before starting my career in real estate I worked in social service early childhood development field for several years at Head Start. I learned a lot about children, families and the communities and neighborhoods to which they are exposed. I continue to work at the Center for Humanistic Change as a consultant from time to time and as a way of keeping me connected to teaching which I also enjoy. I previously worked in the mortgage industry as well and assisted many as a consultant and sometimes planner.
Family: Single – I thank God I am blessed to have my parents, four sisters and one brother.
I Like To: Spend time with my friends and family, listen to music and travel even though I get motion sick!
Awards / Accomplishments:
* First recipient of the Shining Star Award at Community Services for Children for providing exemplary services in regards to parental meetings, small groups and home visits.
Personally Proud Of: Surviving in the Real Estate business even when my bank account was at zero.
You would be surprised to know that: I am a great aunt – nine times – even at my YOUNG age. I brag about them all the time!!
I am a bit obsessive about: Being on time! However, in this business anything can happen and usually does.
Things I will not do: Touch a rat or snake.
Things I struggle with: Shopping too much! Is there such a thing?
My favorite books I have read: Not a real big reader unless it’s the Bible.
My favorite movies: Recent: Kingdom of Heaven – Older: Some Kind of Wonderful, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, The Fast and the Furious
What dead person do I admire and why: My grandfather because he taught me how to value and appreciate my family and my elders. You can learn so much from those who have gone before you.
What alive person do I admire and why: T. D. Jakes – He is an awesome man of God who tells it like it is! I have learned so much from his ministry.
Coke or Pepsi: Sorry Jack – Pepsi all the way!
